We invite all community members—retirees, high schoolers, and college students—to serve as tutors and mentors, playing a vital role in helping students reverse the summer slide and build momentum for fall.
This afterschool program, hosted at Bethany Community Church serves 30 Daniel Bagley Elementary students—primarily McKinney-Vento and multilingual learners—with daily, high-dosage tutoring in literacy and math. Powered by staff leadership and 40+ community volunteers, the Bethany site offers stability, belonging, and academic acceleration for students furthest from educational justice.

The Adult & Youth Learning Center (AYLC) partners with Seattle Public Schools to deliver engaging afterschool learning and enrichment at Rising Star Elementary. Serving K–5 students, our program blends academic support, mentorship, and social-emotional learning in a creative, relationship-rich environment—ensuring students thrive well beyond the school day.
